I have been practicing physical therapy for over 20 years. I love both the challenge involved in helping patients and the ability to make a positive impact on their lives. I have worked in all settings and have clinical experience with all types of patients, including joint replacements, neurological disorders, sports injuries and low back pain and neck pain. My areas of focus include spinal care, manual therapy interventions, and biomechanical assessments. I am also is a certified Mulligan practitioner.
How I Practice
- I look for the miracle everyday.
- I believe the human body is a machine and physical therapists are mechanics.
- I know that the human body is made to be in motion.
- I believe that PTs often plateau before the patient, as an instructor once told me.
- It (meaning the human body) does not always make sense to us; not because it is confusing but because our knowledge is limited.
- Learning is critical to success.
- Pain is not normal, it is our body telling our brains something has changed.
- Pain is sometimes necessary.
